Bilyson earned his Bachelor’s degree on Library and Information Science as Magna cum Laude at University of Saint Louis – Tuguegarao in 2013. On the same year, he published his scholarly paper entitled, “Fiction Reading on Head and Heart”, in International Journal of English and Literature. The same was presented in the first “Research Congress for the Advancement of Library and Information Services” (ReCALIS) organized by PLAI-STRLC at University of the Philippines – Los Baños. Subsequently, he ranked first place in the Librarians’ Licensure Examination conducted by the Philippine Professional Regulation Commission on November 2013.

In the 16th Congress of Southeast Asian Librarians (CONSAL XVI) held at Bangkok, Thailand, he presented two tandem scholarly papers apropos of professional library associations and information search & retrieval. The Asia-Pacific Library and Information, Education and Practice (A-LIEP 2015) which was held at the Philippine International Convention Center gave him an opportunity to share his paper on knowledge management.

Currently, he pursues his graduate studies in University of the Philippines – Diliman and works for an international firm as a Knowledge Management Librarian with a focus on corporate collection. Young as he is, he had actively engaged in partnerships and programs in the sphere of LIS such as peer mentoring in International Librarians’ Network (ILN), and Media & Information Literacy & Intercultural Dialogue (MILID) certificate course of Athabasca University & Unesco.

He considers travelling as a means of understanding the world and discovering self.
