Gladys Joy E. Entico is the Unit Head of the Medical Informatics and Archiving Unit of the Medical Records Department of Makati Medical Center. She is also a certified ICD-10 coder. To uplift her knowledge and skills on librarianship and information science, Gladys is a member of different local and international library associations. These include Special Libraries Association, International Federation of Health Information Management Associations, Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, Association of Special Libraries of the Philippines, Medical and Health Librarians Association of the Philippines and the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (Medical Archives).

Gladys graduated from the University of the Philippines – Diliman with a Bachelor’s degree in Library and Information Science in 2006. In the same year, she became 3rd placer at the Licensure Examination for Librarians. She is currently taking up a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science with tracks in Knowledge Management and Health Librarianship, also at the University of the Philippines – Diliman.
