Ronie Von L. Varona is a licensed librarian and currently working as an archivist for the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA). He earned his Bachelor's degree in Library and Information Science (LIS) in 2018 from the University of the Philippines - Diliman with his thesis on the access policies of academic archives being nominated for the Best Thesis award. He also passed the Librarian's Licensure Examination (LLE) in the same year.

Prior to working as an archivist for DFA, Ronie worked as a project associate for Libraryanihan Inc., a non-profit, non-stock, non-government organization composed of LIS teachers with the objective of delivering LIS-related services to communities and institutions. Here he handled and assisted in the various projects for Libraryanihan. His most notable project is with Ballet Philippines where he led a project on the archival processing of their costumes for one of their plays.
