Alicia S. Paraiso

Ms. Paraiso finished her Bachelor of Science in Education, Major in Library Science at the University of the East in 1973 and her Master of Library Science at the University of the Philippines in 1981. She had a Post Graduate Training Course for Science Information Specialist in Southeast Asia which she also took at the University of the Philippines in 1980.

She is currently connected with the Goethe-Institut Philippinen where she entered in 1985. Her early career started as a Research Assistant in the University of the Philippines and she became the Librarian of the Technology Resource Center from 1976-1981 and then flew to Nigeria as a Librarian of their national library from 1981-83.

Her remarkable skills were developed as she participated in various international and local seminars and conferences on different aspects of library and information science, web design and maintenance in Manila, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Washington D.C., USA, Munich and Wuerzburg, Germany.
