The Association of Special Libraries of the Philippines (ASLP) will conduct its 6th National Congress with a theme “INFORMillennials 2.0 : Mentoring and Motivating the New Generation of Librarians and Information Professionals Towards Management and Leadership Roles” at Dohera Hotel, Mandaue City, Cebu from June 13-15, 2018.
It is inevitable that, as seasoned librarians retire; new breed of information professionals will assume greater leadership and managerial roles. Hence, the 2018 Congress aims to identify ways to proactively manage this profound generational shift. Specifically, it aims to equip the next generation librarians with a winning mindset– one that welcomes innovative skills and tools, fosters harmonious relationship in the office through motivation, mentoring and change management, and creates pivotal developments in 21st century libraries.
Librarians, library administrators, support staff, teachers and students of Library & Information Science, consultants and other information professionals are invited to attend the Congress. Conference registration fee includes kit, accommodation, meals, and certificates of participation/appearance with PRC CPD points
